Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, AWHONN Intermediate certification (not advanced), or Certification in Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (CEFM); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience; location in Nashville, Tennessee.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with labor and delivery procedures such as vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor; proficiency in documentation systems such as CPN and Meditach.
• Additional Information: The position requires caring for laboring patients, immediate postpartum newborn care, circulating and recovery procedures for cesarean section patients, and handling critical labor scenarios. Unit policies emphasize shared decision-making, and staffing includes RNs, a unit secretary, and OR technicians. The unit may require floating to other departments as needed, with travelers floating first.
