Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Deliver direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in accordance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and quality improvement guidelines. Assess patient conditions, record changes, and communicate critical updates to the interdisciplinary team to support timely, coordinated care decisions. Execute physician and nursing orders accurately while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety best practices. Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions, continuity of care, and positive patient outcomes. Emergency Department specializes in advanced cardiac, ortho/spine, oncology, and maternal fetal care. The department operates a 24/7 fast track and staffs both a triage and charge RN 24/7. Support a 4:1 ratio, with 2:1 or 1:1 dependent on patient stability. Staff includes trained emergency department patient care technicians. Scrub color is navy blue. Department does not float outside of the Emergency Department. EMR system utilized is Cerner.
