Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an Emergency Department RN

License: Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire or job transfer date

Certifications:
- Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- BLS Provider from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- CPI

Must-Have:
- Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Certification, CPI

Description:
Deliver direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in accordance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and quality improvement guidelines.

Assess patient conditions, record changes, and communicate critical updates to the interdisciplinary team to support timely, coordinated care decisions.

Execute physician and nursing orders accurately while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety best practices.

Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions, continuity of care, and positive patient outcomes.

The department operates a 24/7 fast track and staffs both a triage and charge RN 24/7.

Support a 4:1 ratio, with 2:1 or 1:1 dependent on patient stability.

Staff ED PCTs trained in phlebotomy and splinting amongst other skills 24/7.

Scrub color is navy blue.

The department does not float outside of the Emergency Department.

EMR used is Cerner.
