Human Resources Manager

The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. Foster cross‑functional collaboration with Benefits, HR, Legal, Payroll, IT, and Operations to advance tactical HR initiatives for the plant location. Responsibilities Manages employee relations counseling and exit interviewing. Manage HRIS data to ensure compliance with hourly and salary employees. Identify retention initiatives and partner with plant manager on strategy. Responsible for new hire and exit surveys. Sponsor of Employee of the Month program and company events with focus on inclusion. Provide metrics and data on headcount and turnover. Support the Plant Manager with daily workforce management by preparing and maintaining headcount and temporary labor reports, monitoring staffing trends, and providing basic analysis to support operational and labor planning decisions. Conduct performance management and provide feedback. Partner with site leadership to execute the Performance Management process, including goal setting, development planning, and end‑of‑year reviews; ensure timely and complete participation at the location. Administer and process FMLA and leave of absence requests including timely notice of Employer's Response to Employee’s request. Advise and support leaders in the effective use of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) process. Create and maintain documentation for FMLA and Leave of Absences. Support and guide leaders through the disciplinary process, including administration of the attendance policy. Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws. Maintain a consistent on‑site presence on the plant floor to support employee relations, partner with operational leadership, and ensure alignment across shifts; this includes scheduled off‑shift coverage and floor visits at a defined frequency to provide visibility and support for second‑ and third‑shift operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business/human resources or related field of study. 7 – 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting required. Human Resources Certification preferred. Working knowledge of the following areas: Human Resources principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures. Generally accepted managerial practices and procedures. Employee relations, training/development, managerial, benefits, administration, and safety practices. Compliance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, and HIPPA. Must be knowledgeable of manufacturing operations and workplace practices in a regulated environment. Must be knowledgeable of good manufacturing practices. Must have excellent time‑management skills. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills. Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
