Openings for Pediatric Cardiac Intensivists

An exciting chance to lead and enhance Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care

Founded in 2018, our Pediatric Cardiac Surgical Program at the medical center offers comprehensive cardiac care, bolstered by a robust collaboration with a leading children's hospital. Our dedicated Pediatric Heart Center team comprises skilled cardiac surgeons, intensivists, electrophysiologists, advanced imaging specialists, and experienced nursing staff, among others.

As the primary facility for pediatric cardiac surgical and interventional care serving a vast patient population in Northern California, we are looking to expand our clinical team. We seek talented cardiac intensivists who can contribute to the growth and development of our cardiac intensive care program. Ideal candidates will possess strong collaborative, leadership, clinical, and interpersonal skills to excel in a vibrant, multidisciplinary setting. There are also opportunities to engage in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and leadership roles.

We are currently hiring for two roles:

• Medical Director of the Pediatric Cardiac ICU
• Staff Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist

The Director of the Pediatric Cardiac ICU will collaborate closely with the leadership of our Pediatric Heart Center and ICU staff to further advance our expanding program.

• Provide inpatient care for pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, and those with congenital heart disease in the pediatric intensive care unit.
• Engage actively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary congenital heart program.
• Depending on qualifications and experience, additional responsibilities may include:
  • Inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology clinical care
  • Pediatric ICU (PICU) coverage

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology and/or Pediatric Critical Care
• Preferred: Dual board certification in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care
• Required: Training and experience in cardiac intensive care
• Eligibility for a California medical license (or currently licensed in California)

• Base Salary Range: $339,539.00 to $350,040.00
• Options for reduced schedules (with pro-rated compensation)
