Principal Technical Recruiter

Join our dynamic and expanding team in Austin, TX as a Principal Technical Recruiter, reporting to the Recruiting Lead for Product/Engineering and Core. You will foster a strong team culture and expand our critical Product and Engineering teams to build world-class technology and deliver on our mission. Role Objectives Develop and implement world-class recruitment strategies for a diverse range of complex technical roles (e.g., Software Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, DevOps, Security), collaborating closely with hiring teams to make data-driven decisions. Build long-term relationships with top technical talent in the Austin and wider US tech market, guiding candidates through an end-to-end recruitment experience. Ensure all candidates have a positive recruitment experience, creating a robust talent network for future technical and leadership opportunities. Innovate sourcing techniques to attract top technical professionals tailored to the Austin tech landscape. Collaborate with the Employer Brand and Marketing team to execute recruitment marketing campaigns and events targeting relevant technical communities. Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to support growth initiatives, including talent mapping, competitor analysis, and compensation benchmarking for key technical roles. Utilize data to identify and address hiring challenges within technical functions, optimizing processes for global scalability and efficiency. Collaborate with the wider People team to ensure a seamless employee experience from recruitment through onboarding. Mentor or manage a small team of junior recruiters or sourcers, sharing best practices and helping to develop their skills and careers. Qualifications Experience: 8+ years as an in-house Recruiter with a successful track record in tech recruitment, specifically for product and engineering roles. Tech-Forward Mindset: Demonstrated expertise in sourcing top product and engineering talent, with an interest or experience in piloting advanced sourcing tools, semantic search algorithms, or automated workflows. Value Evaluation: Ability to identify candidates who align with our culture and values beyond technical skills and resumes. Agility & Drive: Strong self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and uses technology to drive efficiency and build new processes. Adaptability: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and eager to explore emerging HR technologies. Problem Solving: Creative problem solver who enjoys tackling challenging roles and learning new tech stacks and recruitment tools. Communication: Excellent communication and influencing skills able to engage with individuals at all levels within product and engineering organizations.
