Position Summary Working in collaboration with the Institutional Research and Data Services team, supports AACN’s institutional data systems and databases, and other AACN research and data surveys and initiatives. Primary Duties And Responsibilities Collaborating with the Research and Data Team to manage the annual surveys, including preparing recruitment and followup communications, developing survey materials and tools, distributing surveys, and providing technical assistance to respondents to ensure accurate and complete submissions. Supporting data quality assurance activities, including data editing, validation, verification, and consistency checks. Conducting data entry, data extraction/downloads, and basic statistical analyses to support departmental projects and reporting. Assisting in the preparation of annual survey reports, including report formatting and layout, maintaining data tables, and supporting annual survey data collection and reporting processes. Generating standard and customized reports in response to internal and external stakeholder requests; collaborating with customers to identify and address data and reporting needs. Supporting data requests from other AACN departments, including survey development, data collection, analysis, reporting, and related research activities. Assisting with special projects and other research, evaluation, and datarelated activities as assigned. Occasional travel may be required for this position. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Public Policy, Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Research Methods, or a related social science or quantitative field. Degree program must include coursework in statistics, research methods, survey methodology, data analysis, program evaluation, or related quantitative disciplines. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in survey research, data analysis, research support, or a related role. Experience in healthcare, education, membership associations, or nonprofit organizations is preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of: Research methods and survey methodology. Survey design, development, administration, and data collection. Basic statistical analysis and interpretation of quantitative data. Data validation, quality control, and data management practices.Quantitative reporting and presentation of findings to technical and nontechnical audiences. Candidates must possess: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Technical Skills Experience working with large, complex datasets, including data extraction, cleaning, validation, management, analysis, and reporting; ability to identify data quality issues and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Proficiency with statistical and survey software, including SPSS, R, Qualtrics, Microsoft Access, or similar applications. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint. Familiarity with standard office technology and administrative practices, including document management, electronic communications, and data organization.
