Requirements
- Active RN license (valid in NC)
- BLS certification required
- Telemetry rhythm monitoring skills required
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to assess med-surg level patients and escalate changes in acuity appropriately
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- ACLS preferred

Responsibilities
- Provide telemetry nursing care for med-surg patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Administer IV therapies, antibiotics, and manage tube/PEG feeds as indicated
- Monitor patient condition, notify charge RN/manager/rapid response/provider when acuity changes
- Participate in shift huddles and follow unit scheduling and clocking policies, including meal break procedures
- Float to other med-surg units or the ED holding pod as needed
- Work scheduled weekends per unit policy (approximately every other weekend/6 weekends per pay period)

Job Description
This is a 13-week travel RN assignment on a 34-bed med-surg telemetry unit in Asheville, NC. The position is nights (18:45–07:15), 36 hours per week, and requires proficiency in telemetry monitoring, acute med-surg patient care, IV management, and feeding tube care. The role involves working within established unit staffing ratios, using Cerner for documentation, attending shift huddles, and following hospital and unit policies. Candidates should be able to quickly recognize changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately; ACLS is a plus. This assignment includes a weekly stipend in addition to taxable hourly pay.
