In this role, you will provide frontline technical support that keeps users productive, systems reliable, and site operations running smoothly. You will partner closely with IT teams and site personnel to troubleshoot issues, support collaboration tools, maintain hardware and endpoints, and ensure technology environments remain secure, standardized, and ready for daily operations in a fast‑moving aerospace and defense setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides Level 1 support through tickets, phone, email, walk‑ups, Microsoft Teams, and remote sessions to resolve or escalate user issues.
• Troubleshoots and documents common problems involving Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, browsers, printers, virtual private networks (VPNs), passwords, access, and business applications.
• Images, configures, deploys, and troubleshoots laptops, desktops, monitors, docks, peripherals, mobile devices, and shop‑floor hardware.
• Supports endpoint setup for onboarding, employee moves, role changes, and offboarding, including provisioning, refresh, replacement, and retirement activities.
• Provides Level 1 support for Microsoft 365 / Government Community Cloud (GCC) High tools, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Office applications.
• Supports site‑level technology needs such as printers, scanners, label printers, conference rooms, shop‑floor devices, and network‑connected equipment.
• Performs basic troubleshooting for local network connectivity, Wi‑Fi, cabling, phones, conference rooms, and end‑user access issues.
• Maintains accurate IT asset records, assisting with receiving, tagging, assignment, inventory validation, storage, and disposal.
• Follows security policies and procedures involving endpoint handling, password resets, data protection, physical security, audit readiness, and compliance support.
• Creates and maintains basic documentation, troubleshooting guides, support notes, and knowledge articles, and participates in continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, field support, or a related technical role.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and basic endpoint troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, virtual private networks (VPNs), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Internet Protocol (IP) addressing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience using a ticketing system to document, track, and resolve incidents and requests.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to support users professionally and patiently.
• Ability to follow procedures, document work clearly, escalate issues appropriately, and manage multiple tickets and priorities.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment such as monitors, desktops, printers, and peripherals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or relevant coursework.
• Experience supporting users in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, engineering, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 GCC High or secure government cloud environments.
• Exposure to Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure Active Directory, Intune, Autopilot, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), or Defender for Endpoint.
• Experience supporting conference rooms, Teams Rooms, printers, scanners, badge printers, label printers, or shop‑floor devices.
• Familiarity with CMMC, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800‑171, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), or Sarbanes‑Oxley Act (SOX) practices.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, ITIL Foundation, or similar credentials.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice, Zendesk, or similar IT service management (ITSM) tools.
