Customer Service Representative (Flexible Working Hours)

Destination Pet is a national network of pet‑obsessed professionals dedicated to elevating the love and lives of pet families. We are hiring a Customer Service Representative for Story Road Animal Hospital. Position Overview Reporting to: General Manager. The role is part‑time, with the following schedule: Monday (all day), Tuesday (am), Wednesday (all day), Thursday (all day). Benefits & Pay Telehealth, 401(k), and pet insurance Pay: $15.00–$18.00 per hour, DOE, plus tips Physical Requirements On feet often: standing, walking, climbing stairs, wrangling leashes Must be able to lift 40 lbs Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and accidents is part of the job Responsibilities Welcome pet parents and their VIP pets with a 5‑star experience Answer phones with a smile and multitask effectively Tour new clients through the facility and promote services Ensure up‑to‑date vaccinations are on file Manage check‑ins and check‑outs efficiently and personally Handle cash, card payments, and balance the end‑of‑day cash drawer Respond to complaints with patience and professionalism Escort pet guests to and from their enclosures with care Maintain lobby cleanliness and readiness Assist team members as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications People‑person and pet‑person experience Previous customer service or retail experience preferred Solid communication skills—phone, in‑person, email Comfortable with multi‑line phones and computer systems Cool under pressure and professional even with high‑energy animals Problem‑solving ability High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ year of customer service experience preferred EEO and Accessibility Statement Destination Pet LLC affords equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, age, disability or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
