\nEcolab is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Greensboro, NC . As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be responsible for applying Ecolab standards, and ensuring safe, sustainable, and efficient operations to maintain plant equipment and infrastructure. You will participate in essential TPM tasks, including safety and environmental procedures, progressive quality initiatives, autonomous maintenance, focused improvement, preventive maintenance, and 5S practices. \n

How You'll Make an Impact: \n
\n

\n
• Understand and comply with SH&E standards, actively promote safe and responsible behavior, and positively challenge any unsafe practices by completing monthly safety observations
\n
• Proactively propose and implement improvements to existing work practices and quality of products
\n
• Look for and record non-conformances on equipment and report to Maintenance Team Leader
\n
• Contribute to root cause analysis and develop solutions to help with quality management
\n
• Monitor effectiveness of maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability
\n
• Implement continuous improvement activities via problem solving or tagging activities, contribute fully to TPM improvement teams, and promote a culture of continuous improvement
\n
• Follow standard maintenance procedures, proposing and implementing improvements, and ensuring timely completion of all maintenance tasks. These tasks may consist of electrical, welding, plumbing, troubleshooting on filler equipment, tank and pipes, part replacements as well as PLC programming.
\n
• Complete all planned and preventative maintenance tasks on-time including timely escalation of potential issues to engineering team
\n
• Propose new preventative maintenance tasks or updates for the existing preventative maintenance tasks
\n
• Carry out safe and effective equipment repairs, including urgent breakdown repairs
\n
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Details: \n

• Location: Greensboro, NC.
\n
• Work Week and Shift (Multiple options available, depending on business needs):
  \n 2-2-3 rotating day shift schedule 6:00am - 6:00pm with every other weekend off
  \n 2-2-3 rotating night shift schedule 6:00pm - 6:00am with every other weekend off (Night shift includes $1.50 / hour shift differential)

Minimum Qualifications: \n
\n

\n
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
\n
• 4 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance environment
\n
• 1 year of experience with electronic and PLC based applications in an industrial environment
\n
• 1 year of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment
\n
• No immigration sponsorship available for this role
\n

Preferred Qualifications: \n
\n

\n
• 2 years of mechanical experience in a chemical plant
\n
• 4 years of industrial experience
\n
• 1 year of experience with tools, procedures and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environment.
\n
• Experience working with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging
\n
• Formal vocational training in an industrial engineering discipline
\n
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
\n
• Experience working in a TPM environment
\n
• Experience reading and follow instructions
\n
• Experience tracking safety, quality, and productivity data
\n
• Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment
\n

Physical Requirements of Position: \n
\n

\n
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high
\n
• Kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching above and below waist level
\n
• Working in a chemical processing plant with variable temperatures, odors, noise levels, elevated heights, and/or confined spaces
\n

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range: \n
\n
\n$29.00 / hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.\n
