Job Description As an Airport Security Officer: Full Time Patrol in Kailua Kona, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to travelers, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.25 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Wed02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Fri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Requirements: Valid Driver's License (+1 years) 1+ years of Airport Security Experience 21+ years of age Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office What You'll Do: Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, perimeter locations, access points, and other assigned areas, noting and reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government location protocols. Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives. Minimum Requirements: A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
