Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL. This role is responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant will oversee account reconciliations, support financial statement preparation, and assist with budgeting and forecasting. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing variances, monitoring internal controls, supporting audits and compliance activities, and collaborating with operations and leadership to provide financial insights that support decision-making. The role also contributes to process improvements, documentation of accounting policies, and implementation of best practices aligned with Yzer Next's growth and operational goals. Qualifications Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to support business decision-making. Knowledge of internal controls, compliance standards, and audit support, preferably within logistics, transportation, or related industries. Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and manage multiple deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. Several years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including experience in a senior or lead role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
