The primary purpose of this role is to manage the fleet - purchasing, maintenance, DOT documents, etc. as well as more administrative functions. Also, provide small engine and equipment repairs and purchasing supplies and inventory. The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. What you'll do: * Responsible for vehicle/equipment maintenance * Ensure registration, licenses, and inspections are up to date and recorded properly * Manage the contracting and/or outsourcing of specific maintenance functions or operations * Perform preventive maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer's guidelines on vehicles and equipment * Assist in removal of snow and ice from bridges, walks, and road * Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor What you'll need: * Must have, as a minimum, six months experience in a grounds worker capacity, or related field * High School or GED equivalent is preferred * Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour based on background and experience, plus our comprehensive benefits package!
