Cardiology - Pulmonary Hypertension Cardiology Associate/Assistant Professor - Clinical Faculty

Pediatric Cardiology, Pulmonary Hypertension Opportunity The Heart Institute at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, a worldwide leader in cardiology care and research, invites applications for a BE/BC Pediatric Cardiologist to join the pulmonary hypertension subsection at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The Institute is an internationally recognized academic center of excellence for Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Care, clinical and basic science research. The divisions of Congenital Heart Disease, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Molecular Cardiovascular Biology offer a full range of services within a free‑standing, not‑for‑profit tertiary care medical center. The program trains categorical Pediatric Cardiology and sub‑specialty fellows, including one Pulmonary Hypertension fellow. Responsibilities Patient Care – Provide safe, effective, and compassionate care in inpatient and outpatient settings, serve as an attending on the Inpatient Pulmonary Hypertension Consult Service, and manage children with pulmonary vascular disease. Participate in Acute Care Cardiac Unit coverage, general cardiology outpatient clinics, and non‑invasive cardiovascular imaging services as needed. Teaching and Training – Act as a lead in the teaching program, supervise residents and fellows, and contribute to curriculum development and faculty mentorship. Service and Administration – Participate in program development, departmental committees (RPT, IRB), and local or regional clinical affairs. Provide faculty coverage, develop policies, and support performance‑improvement initiatives. Scholarly Activity – Publish research, conduct clinical trials, secure grant funding, and present findings. Design and implement studies to evaluate treatment efficacy and recommend improvements. Qualifications M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree Current active medical license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for license Appropriate medical credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices Completion of all required pre‑employment activities Current Assistant or Associate Professor appointment or eligibility Minimum of five years of service at the Assistant Professor rank Preferred Qualifications Board certification Advanced clinical training and/or post‑fellowship clinical experience in pediatric pulmonary hypertension Job Details Primary Location: Location C Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Department: Cardiology Employee Status: Regular
