Marine Construction LaborerINDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION: MARINE CONSTRUCTION TITLE: MARINE CONSTRUCTION LABORER LOCATION: ORANGE PARK, FL (OPERATING AREA: CLAY, DUVAL COUNTIES) FUNCTION: CONSTRUCTION CLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME – NON-EXEMPT – HOURLY REPORTS TO: FOREMAN/SUPERINTENDENT POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT Dock Experts construction laborers make up the bulk of our field force: both barge and land crews: performing work on daily, weekly, and project-based activities for all our marine construction projects. High levels of integrity, accountability, the willingness to speak up, and an unshakable ability to maintain a brisk pace and consistent positive, can-do attitude are necessary in upholding TDX quality and safety standards while disrupting and challenging the industry status quo.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSEnsure proper setup, operation, take down, cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of materials, equipment, and machineryAssist in loading/unloading of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from trucks, jobsites, and barges, ensuring proper stowage and securing of cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transitIf operating on a barge, assist in proper mooring/anchoring of vessels, handling lines, chains, and anchors in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelinesPerform tasks aligned to projects: demolition, construction, and/or installation of seawalls, docks, piles, boat lifts: digging, shoveling, lifting, carrying, carpentry, framing, rigging, positioning structural components, and working with a wide variety of tools and equipmentEnsure construction equipment and tools are clean, organized, and stored in an orderly fashion after each use. Dispose of rubble/debris/trash and hazardous, worn, damaged, outdated, or other waste materials from work areas and maintain a baseline organization and site cleanlinessAssist with routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning/painting/lubricating equipment & machinery.
