We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations for a school-based organization in Buffalo, New York. This Contract position offers a flexible schedule during standard business hours and requires an on-site presence. The person in this role will contribute across payroll, benefits, employee support, and HR administration while helping maintain efficient and compliant people processes.

Responsibilities:
• Manage payroll activities and ensure employee compensation records are processed accurately and on schedule.
• Administer benefits-related tasks, including enrollments, changes, and employee support for available programs.
• Coordinate and track disability, workers’ compensation, and unemployment claims while maintaining proper documentation.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date HR files, records, and system information to support compliance and reporting needs.
• Assist with onboarding activities and provide administrative HR support throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Respond to employee relations matters with professionalism and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Complete project-based HR assignments that improve departmental organization and day-to-day operations.
• Use Paycom, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office tools to manage HR data, communication, and reporting.• Previous experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR support role.
• Working knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Familiarity with employee claims management, including disability, workers’ compensation, and unemployment.
• Experience maintaining HR records and supporting compliance-driven administrative processes.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms, preferably Paycom, along with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for handling employee questions and HR-related matters.
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment in Buffalo, New York.
