We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef to join a high-end dining team in Houston, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled sushi professional who thrives in a refined, fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

This role is part of an elevated steakhouse concept known for premium ingredients, outstanding hospitality, and a sophisticated dining atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have strong sushi preparation skills, attention to detail, and experience creating memorable guest experiences through quality, technique, and presentation.

Compensation:
$70,000 - $75,000 annually (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-quality sushi, sashimi, and Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and consistency
• Maintain exceptional standards for product quality, freshness, and presentation
• Execute sushi service in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment
• Manage proper knife skills, fish handling, and sushi preparation techniques
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to maintain menu standards and elevate the guest experience
• Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization standards
• Support a positive and professional kitchen culture

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Sushi Chef in an upscale restaurant, steakhouse, or fine dining environment
• Strong knowledge of sushi preparation, seafood handling, and Japanese culinary techniques
• Ability to perform in a high-energy, detail-oriented kitchen
• Excellent knife skills and attention to presentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to quality, consistency, and hospitality
