McAllister Towing of NY is seeking highly qualified Staff Accountant. Staff Accountant Reports to The Staff Accountant reports to Controller. None. Description of Duties Post, monitor, and review transactions in the general ledger. Run and review AR and AP aging. Prepare and file various on-line returns for multiple legal entities for corporate, sales, and property taxes. Maintain tax calendar with due dates, websites, filing frequencies, etc. Assist in month and closing including balance sheet and P&L analysis. Prepare documents for annual audit. Prepare ad-hoc reports and other duties as needed. Excellent use of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel; very good with spreadsheets. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations a plus. A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred. Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in accounting with strong debit credit knowledge. Must be able to work independently to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Deadline oriented. Physical Requirements The ability to operate a computer terminal. The ability to operate telephones and standard office equipment.
