Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Management, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in program management at data centers, manufacturing, oil and gas, or other 24x7 operations. Experience supporting teams to deliver projects in a constantly evolving environments. Experience with process documentation, process mapping, and workflow improvements. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross‑functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. In this role, you will design, develop, and launch a new global program to accelerate data center turnover from construction to operations. The process must be built upon a culture of respect, empowerment, data, and speed. Once up and running, you will engage in the process daily to ensure it's operating smoothly, support high-priority decisions, illuminate gaps, and drive process improvements. You will also leverage your skills to help facilitate individual site, regional, and global turnover decisions by breaking them down into smaller pieces. The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $192,000–$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Design, develop, and launch a new program to help construction teams turnover data centers. Foster optimization and speed while collecting, analyzing, and visualizing the data needed to drive the program forward. Standardize issue mitigation, issue remediation, and risk management plans. Understand what level of infrastructure will be available at turnover and ensure the process scales with the future growth of the business. Engage and obtain input from operational leaders to ensure we’re making well-informed decisions. Maintain relationships with partner organizations to ensure they are actively participating, engaged, and involved early and often.
