As a Security Officer Armed - Perm Hospital in Land O Lakes, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, people-first culture. Pay Rate: $23.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate county personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and follow all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies related to armed duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
