Ecommerce, Client Services Specialist

Overview The Ecommerce, Client Services Specialist provides exceptional customer care and resolution support within the standards and procedures of the James Perse online shop. This role partners and collaborates with the Distribution Center and other cross‑functional team members to deliver a highly personalized brand experience through phone, email, and live chat engagement. Responsibilities Field inbound customer service calls for the global ecommerce business, providing articulate and professional assistance on online orders, products, and website usage. Respond to incoming customer emails promptly and effectively. Engage customers via Live Chat, offering informed product knowledge and style/seasonal recommendations. Drive sales through proactive involvement in Exchange Order and Abandoned Cart outreach programs. Investigate product and service issues, determine the appropriate resolution, and follow up with customers to ensure complete and efficient closure. Document, organize, and process customer exchange and return paperwork. Partner daily with the Distribution Center team to support efficient ecommerce order fulfillment. Manage order processing flow, including fraud prevention efforts, and handle order releases and cancellations. Stay informed about online marketing emails and promotional activities. Identify opportunities and contribute ideas for store process improvement and refinement. Run departmental reporting as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Communication, or a closely related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience—desired. Work Experience: Minimum 1‑2 years of customer service experience in the fashion/apparel industry required; ecommerce experience highly desired. Special Skills: Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); high level of accuracy and attention to detail; Shopify experience highly desired; excellent verbal and phone communication skills with a respectful and clear demeanor.
