We are consistently looking for qualified professionals to join us in achieving success.Senior Network EngineerAbout the RoleThe Senior Network Engineer serves as a senior technical resource responsible for the design, administration, optimization, and support of enterprise network and internet-related services across multiple Aegis sites. This role will maintain and advance network software and hardware, including routing, switching, wireless, firewall, VoIP, virtualization, VDI, and storage platforms supporting LAN/WAN operations. The Senior Network Engineer will provide advanced troubleshooting, technical guidance, standards development, and escalation support to the IT department and Aegis team members as needed. Location Requirement: Candidates must reside in Middle Tennessee and be able to come into the office as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and support VMware virtual hosts, Citrix VDI, and storage systems supporting network and infrastructure operationsDesign, administer, support, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network services in accordance with company policies, procedures, and established standardsSupport, maintain, patch, configure, and lifecycle-manage routers, switches, and related network infrastructure across all sitesAdminister, optimize, and troubleshoot firewall services, including rule management, policy validation, and performance reviewsLead root-cause analysis and resolve network performance, availability, and connectivity issues using network monitoring and diagnostic toolsAdminister, support, optimize, and troubleshoot wireless network services across supported sitesProvide senior-level escalation support, mentoring, and technical guidance to Helpdesk and infrastructure team membersLead and participate in network-related projects, upgrades, incident response, and change-management initiativesDevelop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and support proceduresCollaborate with Infrastructure, IT Security, Laboratory Operations, and other business stakeholders to ensure network services are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business needsRecommend improvements to network architecture, monitoring, documentation, and operational processes based on trends, risks, and support requirementsAdminister, support, and optimize VoIP telecommunications systems, including advanced troubleshooting and escalation supportRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field preferred7+ years of progressive experience administering enterprise network infrastructure, firewall services, virtualization platforms, and storage systemsExperience administering Palo Alto firewalls, enterprise routing and switching, wireless networking, and multi-site network environmentsNetwork+, CCNA, or equivalent experience requiredExperience working within established change-management, documentation, security, and compliance frameworksDemonstrated ability to lead technical troubleshooting, coordinate remediation efforts, document root cause, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, virtual networking, identity services, and cloud-hosted workloadsExperience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), cybersecurity technologies, and data protection platformsCCNP, Palo Alto, VMware, Microsoft Azure, or Citrix certificationsExperience with VMware, Citrix, Pure Storage, enterprise wireless platforms, firewalls, and highly available infrastructure environmentsExperience supporting critical infrastructure within regulated, healthcare, laboratory, or other high-availability environmentsIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a senior-level network professional who can operate independently, take ownership of complex technical issues, and serve as a trusted escalation point for the broader IT team. This person should have strong experience with enterprise networking, Palo Alto firewalls, multi-site environments, and infrastructure technologies while also being comfortable collaborating across technical and business teams.
