Junior Litigation Associate

Overview Associate position for candidates with 2-6 years of legal experience, ideally gained in a firm setting or following a judicial clerkship. The role is open to candidates in any U.S. office, with a preference for Miami or Cincinnati locations. Active membership in the Florida Bar is required. Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and demonstrate a strong academic record. Responsibilities include managing various aspects of litigation, such as drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, arguing hearings, and handling discovery requests and responses. Tasks also involve taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparations and trial. More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing commercial lawsuits from inception to conclusion. Experience with healthcare or managed care litigation is preferred, but not a mandatory requirement. Strong legal writing, research, and verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to coordinate with local counsel.
