Tax Accountant

Job Description Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is looking for Tax Accountant to join our Advisory & Compliance Team based in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, Philippines. The Tax Accountant is a member of the Advisory & Compliance Group that is responsible for ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations, as well as providing support in tax planning and strategy to minimize tax liabilities. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our tax policies and strategies, ensuring compliance. You are expected to be a domain expert in planning, reporting, and providing expert advice on tax-related matters to individuals. Responsibilities Prepare supporting schedules, alphalists, and e-filed tax returns (e.g., Excise Tax, Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Taxes, Fringe Benefits Tax, Documentary Stamp Tax, etc.), ensuring accuracy and full compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation Review tax accounts and prepare entries to correct balances of such accounts Monitor and ensure that tax reconciling items are booked in a timely manner Review and monitor timely issuance of BIR Forms 2307 and 2306 to suppliers Assist and collaborate with other departments in the study and evaluation of tax and accounting impacts of new projects, business concepts, tax planning initiatives and strategies Handle tax queries from management and various stakeholders regarding tax treatments Provide information and guidance to management and various stakeholders regarding new or revised tax regulations, BIR rulings and issuances Coordinate renewal of business permits and monitor and process payment for business and real property taxes Assist in handling BIR/BOC examinations and other projects Assist during annual audit of financial statements Computer Skills Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) Knowledge in SAP is an advantage Minimum Qualifications Graduate of BS Accountancy and must be a Certified Public Accountant Fresh graduate CPAs must have tax exposure With experience as Tax Accountant or Tax Auditor Has strong understanding of Philippine tax laws and regulations and tax compliance Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Strong communication and interpersonal skills Office Address: Toyota Special Economic Zone, Santa Rosa - Tagaytay Highway, Pulong Sta.
