The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and expanding referral relationships and generating new business opportunities for Vertus Healthcare's Medicare home health, private duty nursing, personal care, and Veteran services .

The position is responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, social workers, rehabilitation facilities, senior communities, Veteran organizations, and other referral sources.

The successful candidate is expected to actively develop new referral opportunities, maintain existing relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of Vertus Healthcare.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Referral Growth

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare referral sources.

• Generate new patient and client referral opportunities for Vertus Healthcare.

• Establish and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, physician offices, case managers, discharge planners, social workers, rehabilitation facilities, senior communities, and other healthcare organizations.

• Develop referral opportunities for both Medicare home health and private duty services .

• Identify opportunities to increase private-pay and private-duty business.

• Conduct regular in-person visits and follow-up with referral sources.

• Represent Vertus Healthcare professionally in the healthcare and local community.

• Participate in networking events, healthcare meetings, community events, and other business development activities.

• Maintain consistent communication with referral sources to strengthen professional relationships.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in healthcare business development, marketing, sales, home health, hospice, home care, private duty, skilled nursing, or a related healthcare field preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional referral relationships.

• Established healthcare referral network or book of business strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Professional presentation and ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and community partners.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for required community and referral-source visits.
