Maintenance Technician

We value teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement at all our facilities. Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our North Mankato team. This position is responsible for ensuring that equipment, machinery, and the overall facility remain in safe and efficient operating condition. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced plant environment. Key Responsibilities: Work safely and promote a safe work environment.Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and proceduresComply with lock out tag out procedures to energize and de-energize equipment.Completing preventative and reactive maintenance throughout the facility, equipment, and on industrial vehicles (forklifts, loader, skid loader and etc.)Completing preventative maintenance work orders in a timely manner.Completing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance logs and checklists.Documenting completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessaryOperating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools and etc.Work with outside contractors and venders such as electrical, welding, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and industrial liftsInteracting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environmentOperating forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial liftsAbility to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance noticeOther duties as assigned
