Job Description

Lead and supervise teams of HVAC installers on large commercial new construction projects, ensuring high-quality installation of HVAC systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Use your expertise in layout, design, fabrication, and installation to coordinate work, solve on-site challenges, and deliver reliable, efficient HVAC solutions for commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead teams of HVAC installers on large commercial new construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
• Plan and coordinate daily installation activities, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, layouts, and design documents to guide the installation of HVAC systems in commercial structures.
• Apply knowledge of HVAC layout, design, and fabrication to resolve field issues and optimize system performance during installation.
• Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with mechanical codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with general contractors, other trades, and team members to coordinate work areas and maintain an efficient workflow on the jobsite.
• Document work as required, including reporting progress, issues, and material needs to support project completion.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience supervising and leading HVAC installation teams on large commercial new construction projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC system layout, design, fabrication, and installation in commercial environments.
• Proficiency with commercial HVAC installations, including equipment placement, duct routing, and system connections.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical systems, supported by a Mech 1 qualification.
• Current EPA Universal certification for handling and working with refrigerants.
• 06A certification (or equivalent) relevant to commercial mechanical or electrical work, as required by local regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working on large commercial new construction buildings from rough-in through final installation.
• Familiarity with construction site practices and coordination with general contractors and other trades.
• Ability to identify and implement field modifications to improve installation efficiency and quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills for addressing installation challenges on active job sites.
• Organizational skills to manage tools, materials, and equipment while overseeing multiple tasks.
• Valid driver’s license suitable for operating a company vehicle between the shop and job sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
