Job DescriptionWe are hiring in Bronx, NY! Join us at Easterseals NY- Bronx CDC for an exciting career as an Occupational Therapist.As an Occupational Therapist you will work as a member of the team (family, staff and other service providers) to provide quality supports and services for children and their families.Your responsibilities will include:Participate in team evaluations to determine developmental status and initial or ongoing eligibility.Develop IEP's with other team members.Maintain professional standards, and current skills in therapy techniques.Provide occupational therapy services for children.Write progress notes on time schedule addressing the child's strengths, needs and progress.Complete record keeping as required by licensing/certifying agency.Aid in maintaining equipment and workspace.Attend staff meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as assigned.Assist in staff development and training.You're a great fit for this role if you have:Bachelors Degree or its equivalent in the field of Occupational Therapy from a recognized college or universityCurrent license by the State Board of Registration in MedicineThree years experience working with children as a therapist is preferredValid driver's license and reliable transportationCompensation & BenefitsCompensation: $60,000-$85,000Benefits: Health insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision), Paid time off (Vacation, Sick), Retirement plan 403(b), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Commuter Benefits, Life/Accident insurance, Long-term Disability Insurance, Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)Easterseals is a standard-bearer for creating equity and access for people with disabilities and other barriers to long term self-sufficiency.
