Civil Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a driven Civil Litigation Attorney in Dayton, Ohio. This partner-track position offers the opportunity to manage complex real estate, consumer protection, and business litigation cases. The role involves working with experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative environment, with a focus on strategic thinking and client management. Duties Serve as lead trial counsel in complex civil litigation in state and federal courts. Draft and finalize legal documents, including pleadings and motions. Develop case strategies based on client needs and financial capacity. Communicate effectively with clients about litigation risks and goals. Collaborate with partners and supervise junior associates. Requirements 4+ years of civil litigation experience in state and/or federal courts. Ohio Bar license in good standing. Strong writing and advocacy skills with a proven record in motion practice and trial work. Ability to manage complex cases and client relationships independently. Interest in leadership and long-term growth within the firm. Experience managing and resolving discovery issues. Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior attorneys is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Ohio. Skills Strong legal research and writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
