- Participate in daily operations meetings to review maintenance priorities and assigned work orders.
- Gather tools, equipment, and replacement parts needed to complete daily assignments.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and adjust heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain electric and pneumatic HVAC control systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and performance testing to ensure HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Assist with the installation and modification of HVAC equipment and building systems.
- Complete preventive maintenance work orders and accurately document completed repairs.
- Support energy management initiatives by ensuring HVAC equipment operates at peak efficiency.
- Inspect equipment for compliance with applicable safety standards, building codes, and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and supervisors regarding maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Perform additional facility maintenance duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school education preferred.
- 2-3 years of commercial or industrial HVAC maintenance experience.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting HVAC equipment.
- Working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related control systems.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a maintenance team.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, climbing ladders, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Experience supporting commercial office buildings, laboratories, warehouses, or industrial facilities.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Trade school education in HVAC or a related technical field.
- Additional HVAC certifications or industry credentials.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of commercial building systems.
- Professional attitude with a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service.
