Quad in Hartford is seeking full-time Warehouse Material Handlers (Forklift Drivers) to grow with us! Candidates hired into this role will be responsible for inventory control on the production floor, ensuring that materials are brought efficiently and accurately to machines to keep production downtime to a minimum. Candidates who have 2 or more years of experience in warehousing or shipping, with 75% or more of time spent on a forklift, are highly desirable. based on relevant work experience and stability with work history. You will receive an additional $3.00 night shift premium for working the night shift. Move product/skids with a hand jack, motorized Raymond (Big Joe) lift, or Forklift (training provided) Maintain an accurate inventory of products with the use of an onboard PC and RF bar coding system Loading and unloading of finished products and materials from semi-trailers and auto-wrappers using a forklift Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures Must be at least 18 years of age or older. ~ Strong computer skills preferred. ~ Prior forklift experience where 75% or more of your day is spent on a forklift. ~ Warehousing, Shipping, or other work experience where mechanical or handwork was necessary, such as laborer, machinist, assembly, bindery, mechanic, or warehouse work, is preferred. ~ Printing, Finishing (Bindery), or Warehouse experience is preferred. ~ Strong mechanical aptitude. ~ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. ~ These shifts don’t rotate . (including nights, weekends, and holidays. Our 12-hour 3/4, or 4/3 schedule offers you this balance, allowing you to work just 182 days a year while maintaining a full-time status. The actual rate of pay offered will vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package may also include overtime and shift differentials, depending on the role.
