General Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM 3:30 PM Pay: $30.50 $34.50 per hour

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and dependable General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Spartanburg, SC. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of maintenance experience and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This role is essential to maintaining equipment reliability, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues as they arise.
Document all maintenance activities and ensure accurate work order completion.
Identify potential hazards and report or resolve safety concerns promptly.
Participate in compliance and EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) programs.
Support continuous improvement by contributing to Maintenance Job Evaluations and improvement initiatives.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and follow technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
Effective communicator and team player with strong problem-solving ability.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform hands-on labor.
Comfortable working in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
Must be able to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
