Data Entry Specialist

#LI-Skilled-01 Job Summary Most work is seated but involves intensive and constant keying of information into a data system. The employee carries one carton of documents to/from the pallet to the computer workstation on average every 5-7 minutes. Carton weight ranges from 30-50 lbs. The carry distance may be up to 15-20 feet, with hand height for pulling or returning cartons to the pallet ranging from 13” to 45”. Protective footwear is required and must meet ASTM F2413-11 standards for safety toe cap footwear with a slip‑resistant rating designated as “Better or Best”. Work Schedule The normal work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Responsibilities Pull individual medical files from storage boxes, identify required data fields from each file, and enter the information into the database for the client. Carry one box at a time to the workstation, pull individual files, and enter data. Once all files have been reviewed, return them to the box and carry it back to the pallet. Except for periods when boxes are being moved (5% of the time), work is performed from a seated position (95% of the time). Performance is measured based on the number of keystrokes. Essential Functions Maintain a consistent high frequency of keystrokes (10,000 kph) with 100% accuracy confirmed by ‘double key’ verification. Carry cartons ranging in weight from 30-50 lbs for distances up to 20 feet, with a frequency of one box every 5-7 minutes. Lift and lower cartons from/to the pallet and from/to the workstation. Cartons range in weight from 30-50 lbs, with lift heights ranging from 13” to 45”, on a frequency of one box every 5-7 minutes. Attire must be presentable and appropriate for the working environment.
