Prominent Plaintiffs' Medical Malpractice law firm has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant with 3+ years of Plaintiff-side Litigation experience to join their team. This is a full-time, in-office position in Southfield, Michigan.

 

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of plaintiff-side litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice and/or personal injury.

 

Responsibilities :

• Preparation of legal pleadings.
• Filing of documents with all courts.
• Effectuating service of process.
• Day to day support of attorneys.
• Review and docketing of daily mail.
• Managing attorney calendaring, including scheduling of attorney conferences, depositions, meetings.
• Answering of Firm telephone calls.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant for Plaintiff-side Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury Attorneys.
• Prior experience e-filing in state and federal courts.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and relevant court rules and procedures.
• Immense attention to detail.
• Disciplined with ability to work independently.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and Word. Needles or Neos is a plus!
• Strong organization and analytical skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload effectively.
• Professional demeanor and customer service skills.
• Understanding of the importance of maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in the legal profession.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting attorneys and other colleagues.
