TRAINING SPECIALIST

Job Title

Research and development in the fields of Meteorology and Oceanography.

Assist with course management, instructor certification and evaluation services needed.

Act as the primary point of contact in planning, curriculum development, revision, and periodic recertification of meteorological and oceanographic training.

Act as the primary Instructor/Course Curriculum Model Manager (C2M2) for courses of instruction in the fields of meteorology and Oceanography as assigned.

Review and evaluate audio-visual aids for courses to ensure relevance and accuracy.

Participate in seminars, studies, and workshops on: Master Training Specialist Certificate, training and testing materials, methodologies of curriculum development and delivery: and optimization of classroom delivery methods and resources.

Maintain, update, and develop new lesson plans and courses of instruction by utilizing expertise in the subject matter and through understanding new developments and technologies of the Naval Oceanography Program.

Maintain liaison with national, military, scientific, and technical agencies as required.
