Direct Hire | Lombard, IL Junior Staff Accountant Schedule Onsite 5 days/week initially; hybrid flexibility available after training Compensation $60,000 - $80,000 + discretionary bonus eligibility Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Bonus Opportunity About The Role Our client is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build upon their experience in reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities within the mortgage banking industry. The Junior Staff Accountant will support daily accounting operations, assist with month-end close, and work closely with Senior Accounting team members on special projects and ad hoc requests. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage the accounting department inbox Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations Prepare and post journal entries Assist with month-end close activities (5-day monthly close; approximately 9-day quarterly close) Escalate non-routine accounting issues to appropriate team members Support the Senior Accountant with ad hoc projects and reporting requests Utilize accounting and reporting tools including: Fiserv Prologue (ERP) Encompass (Loan Operating System) Excel Power BI Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-3 years of accounting experience Hands-on experience with: Bank reconciliations Account reconciliations Journal entries Strong Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables VLOOKUPs Mortgage industry experience Preferred Qualifications Experience using Power BI Interview Process Virtual Interview Final Onsite Interview Equal Opportunity Employer LaSalle Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer m/f/d/v. #J-18808-Ljbffr
