General Maintenance Technician

General Maintenance TechnicianAs a global leader in radiation safety, detection and measurement, Mirion Technologies is advancing radiation safety through innovative technologies and solutions.We are looking for a General Maintenance Technician to provide overall maintenance support for the production floor and SSD, including developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program and performing equipment and facility repairs that keep manufacturing operations running smoothly. This role covers a variety of electrical, electronic, and mechanical tasks and is a great fit for someone who is mechanically inclined, hands-on, and eager to learn — prior maintenance experience is helpful but not required. We provide on-the-job training for motivated candidates who bring strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and a willingness to grow into the role.Essential DutiesDevelop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure the reliability of equipment and facilitiesPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities to support manufacturing operationsTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on the production floorPerform equipment installation and relocation assignments as neededPerform general facility maintenance tasks, including painting and minor repairsPerform mechanical tasks, including vacuum pump maintenance and manufacturing fixtures as applicableRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtimeMaintain accurate maintenance logs and work order records; maintain the equipment maintenance program together with the manufacturing supervisorFollow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and PPE requirementsKeep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working conditionEssential RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentTechnical background with a demonstrated ability to handle mechanical and electrical maintenance tasksMechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skillsBasic understanding of hand and power toolsWillingness and eagerness to learn new mechanical, electrical, and technical skillsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periodsAbility to work in a fast-paced production floor environmentAble/fit to work at various heights on ladders, manlifts or elevated platformsAdditional RequirementsExperience in a manufacturing maintenance or equipment repair environment a plus, but not requiredBasic electrical or welding knowledge a plusForklift experience a plus (or willingness to become certified)Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed to support productionEducation & Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required0-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, or equipment repair experience preferred; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
