Job Description
The role of Welders and Fitters involves assembling, fitting, and welding metal components to construct or repair structures, machinery, and equipment. Professionals in this role work with a variety of tools and techniques to ensure the integrity and precision of metal assemblies. They play a crucial part in manufacturing, construction, and maintenance projects across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Cut, shape, and fit metal parts using appropriate tools.
- Perform welding tasks such as MIG, TIG, and Arc welding according to standards.
- Inspect completed welds and fittings for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure safe work practices.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
- Identify and repair metal defects or damages.
- Comply with health and safety regulations on site.
