Pastry Chef — Redbird & Vibiana
Redbird and Vibiana are seeking an experienced, creative Pastry Chef to lead our pastry program and build on eleven years of history, bringing their perspective to the role.
Located in Downtown LA in the historic former Cathedral of Saint Vibiana and its rectory, Redbird and Vibiana pair an established restaurant with one of the city’s most distinctive private event venues. Led by Chef Neal Fraser, Redbird serves dinner six nights a week plus weekend brunch, while Vibiana hosts events from intimate dinners for 10 to celebrations for up to 600 guests.
The Pastry Chef will oversee:
• Five signature desserts for Redbird’s dinner menu
• Restaurant bread program, laminated doughs, and brunch pastries
• Ice creams and frozen desserts
• Pastry and dessert production for private events
• Seasonal menu development
• Leading and developing a team of 2–3 pastry assistants
The program includes a dedicated pastry kitchen, sheeter, proofer, mixers, ice cream machine, walk-in freezer, and everything needed to run both restaurant and event production.
We’re looking for strong technique, organization, and leadership — someone who wants to make this program their own while respecting the culinary identity Redbird has built over the last eleven years.
