Position Summary The Detail Technician is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and preparing both new and pre-owned vehicles for delivery, display, and customer service appointments. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining dealership standards. Key Responsibilities Thoroughly wash, dry, wax, and detail interior and exterior surfaces of vehicles. Vacuum carpets, clean upholstery, shampoo interiors, and remove stains. Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, door jambs, engine compartments, and trim. Apply protective coatings, dressings, and polishing compounds when needed. Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery to ensure a showroom-quality presentation. Maintain the appearance of all vehicles displayed on the lot. Inspect vehicles for cosmetic imperfections and report any damage to management. Move vehicles safely throughout the dealership and service areas. Keep detailing equipment, supplies, and work areas clean, organized, and maintained. Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations regarding chemicals and equipment. Work efficiently to meet daily production goals while maintaining exceptional quality. Assist with dealership events, vehicle photography, and special projects as needed. Support teammates and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment. Qualifications Previous detailing experience is preferred but not required—we're willing to train the right individual. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
