Key Responsibilities\n

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments of students to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Implementing solution-focused therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based practices tailored to each client.

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with organizational policies and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
\n
• Collaborating with educators, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care that supports students’ emotional and psychological needs.

• Engaging in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to discuss client progress and enhance care strategies.
\n
• Providing guidance and resources to families, enhancing their understanding of mental health issues and available support.
\n
• Staying current with developments in social work and mental health research to continuously improve treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Astor, your focus will be on a diverse population of children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and trauma-related issues. You will have the opportunity to work closely with school staff and families to create a supportive network around each client, ensuring a holistic approach to care.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
\n
• A valid LCSW license issued in the state of Texas.
\n
• Demonstrated experience (minimum of 3 years) in clinical practice specializing in psychotherapy with youth populations.

• Strong skills in solution-based psychotherapy and the ability to apply evidence-based interventions.

• Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.

• A commitment to promoting mental wellness in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in school-based mental health programs or who have worked in collaborative care settings will be given preference. Knowledge of the educational system and familiarity with school mental health initiatives is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
