Job Summary
Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) St. Louis, MO. This position involves providing direct patient care on a respiratory-heavy stepdown unit within a healthcare facility. The role focuses on utilizing nursing skills to care for patients with medical conditions such as respiratory failure, GI bleed, electrolyte imbalances, and other critical illnesses. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

• Schedule: Nights, 1900-0730, 36 or 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current RN License meeting Missouri licensure criteria or licensed in Missouri, BLS and ACLS from AHA, 1 year inpatient stepdown experience, experience working with trach and ventilator patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Responsibilities: Utilize nursing process to provide patient care, monitor and coordinate patient activities with ancillary departments, evaluate the effectiveness of care, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, adhere to mission, values, and standards.
• Additional Information: Requires utilization of Respiratory, Trach, Vent, Vapotherm, and Bipap equipment, with a focus on respiratory failure, ETOH, overdose, GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, COPD, and cancer cases. Must be dependable, team-oriented, and flexible.
