Job Details

• Position Description: Step Down Unit Nurse responsible for caring for adult patients with high acuity needs, including titration of vasopressors, sedation medication, insulin drips, trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure in the specified state, ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS certifications, 2 years of clinical experience in a step-down or ICU setting, and proficiency with arterial line management, cardiac telemetry, ventilated patient care, chest tubes, and other advanced procedures.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting 11/02/2026 through 02/01/2027.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an Acute Medical Care Unit, clinical proficiency with Epic charting system, and previous hospital-based care experience.
• Additional Information: This position involves float within scope to floors with lower acuity and requires proficiency in managing complex clinical procedures specific to the unit's high acuity patient care.
