We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality coffee and food items, work as a team player, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, retail operations, and customer engagement within a fun and supportive café setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to company standards.
• Operate POS systems, we use Square via Ipad
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including cashiering and basic math calculations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety standards.
• Restock supplies, ingredients, and merchandise as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in food preparation and serving to meet quality standards.
• Uphold food handling protocols and safety regulations at all times.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
• Support team members in daily café operations to create a positive customer experience.

Skills

• Experience as a Barista or in the food industry preferred but not necessary
• Familiarity with handling cash and POS systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, and serving procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about coffee, food service, and creating memorable customer experiences while developing valuable skills within the retail food industry.
