Logistics Coordinator - International Freight Broker (Cambridge)

Job Summary As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the dynamic link between shippers and carriers, ensuring that freight moves efficiently and effectively. You’ll leverage your expertise in supply chain management to coordinate logistics, negotiate pricing, and optimize transportation solutions. What you’ll do Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate smooth freight operations Negotiate pricing and terms with carriers to ensure competitive rates while maximizing profitability Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments, manage inventory levels, and streamline logistics processes Collaborate with warehouse management teams to coordinate shipping and receiving activities Analyze data to identify trends in demand planning and optimize transportation routes Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in freight movement and inventory management Oversee the dispatching of shipments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to customer requirements Manage documentation related to shipping, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork Basic qualifications Strong understanding of supply chain logistics and freight brokerage operations Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation and relationship-building Proficiency in data analysis skills to drive decision‑making processes Preferred qualifications Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) – Cargo Wise experience an asset Familiarity with transportation planning, category management, and materials handling practices Knowledge of 3PL (third‑party logistics) operations and e‑commerce fulfillment strategies Experience with International Imports / Exports Why you’ll love it here We are dedicated to empowering our team members both professionally and personally.
