Airfreight Pricing Specialist

Air Logistics Pricing Specialist Pay: $25.00/hr Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Responsibilities Maintain airfreight rate, trucking rate and handling costs databases and market intelligence within the regional area in conjunction with area + national air logistics management and gateway management. Liaise and work closely with Global/Regional Airfreight Pricing network and Key Account Managers on assigned pricing requests in the following capacities: Complete requests per US pricing strategies under the guidance of Pricing Management. Manage and compile area collection of local origin and destination and airport to airport. Distribute feedback and provide consultation to/from business unit + sales on client pricing strategy, formats, requirements, supporting data and market intelligence etc. Support Airfreight activities as necessary and directed by management. Prepare structured, professional tenders that are tailored to the specific requirements of the customer and their respective industry. Track activity, win and loss of pricing requests (tender + spot). Quote, analyse and manage pricing for air import/export customers (existing & new) using software driven solutions. Maintain existing business and generate new clientele. Develop strong working relationships with carriers, clients (external and internal) and teammates. Key Interfaces Internal Interfaces Business Unit – Airfreight, North America (Corporate, Sub-Regional, Gateway + Local) Global Pricing Team – SGI / Regional Pricing Teams and Contacts Global Key Account Management + Field Sales External Interfaces Strategic Customer Development Partner (SCDP) Customers in general Job Requirements Proficient in English (verbal & written) High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics preferred but not required. Minimum 3 years of Air pricing and/or Air Logistics experience (air export experience a plus) Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography Demonstrable advanced working knowledge of MS office, primarily Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables etc) Strong critical analysis & negotiation skills Strong problem-solving skills & Profit conscious Ability to quickly learn other company specific programs Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, within team guidelines and procedures, towards global organizational goals Highly organized & detail oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced, deadline-driven environment Strong operational knowledge and analytical skills in the air freight pricing field. #J-18808-Ljbffr 6AM City
