Description

• Create individualized treatment plans aligned with short-term objectives and long-term communication or swallowing goals.
• Deliver specialized one-on-one speech therapy focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing interventions.
• Work collaboratively with a cross-functional care team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to ensure a holistic approach.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families to foster progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to maintain continuity in patient care.
• Document all patient interactions and outcomes promptly and accurately as per guidelines.
• Continuously update knowledge in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
