Low Voltage NICET Level I Fire Alarm Technician – Fire Alarm Systems

Join Next Level Technician as a NICET Level I Fire Alarm Technician in Montgomery, AL! Earn $20-$25/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader in low voltage staffing.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation of fire alarm systems and devices in commercial and industrial environments, including pull stations, smoke detectors, horn strobes, and modules
Pull, terminate, dress, and label fire alarm cable according to project specifications
Perform basic testing and verification of installed fire alarm wiring and devices
Read and interpret fire alarm layouts, drawings, and blueprints
Assist senior technicians with system startups, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed
Work safely on ladders and lifts and support additional low-voltage installations as needed at schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, and other commercial facilities

Requirements:

NICET Level I Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (required or actively pursuing certification)
1+ year of experience in fire alarm installation, electrical, low voltage, or related construction field
Basic understanding of NEC and NFPA 72 fire alarm codes and standards
Ability to read blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams
Experience with hand and power tools commonly used in low voltage installations
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to project sites throughout the Montgomery, AL area as needed, with occasional travel to Auburn or Troy during the day only; no overnight stays required
OSHA 10, Lift Certification, or other industry certifications are a plus
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in active construction environments
Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
