What You'll Do:

• Provide expert clinical care in a 60-bed Level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Serve as Practice Medical Director, overseeing clinical operations and provider performance
• Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Drive clinical innovation and neonatal program development
• Collaborate with hospital and academic leaders to expand neonatal services
• Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents
• Engage in educational activities such as Grand Rounds and simulation Boot Camps
• Support scholarly projects in partnership with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
• Utilize advanced neonatal therapies, e.g., high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapy
• Work with multidisciplinary teams including maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery

What You Need:

• Board Certified in Neonatology (MD/DO)
• Prior leadership experience preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge of high-acuity NICU care
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Residency within the immediate local area; relocation may be required
